In 1982, Dr. Holland launched his career in global ophthalmology as the first-ever Medical Director of the world’s only Flying Eye Hospital. In recognition of his more than four-decade contribution, a legacy fund, the Simon Holland Visionary Fund, has been established.
For 40 years, Simon has changed countless lives, mentored hundreds of students and colleagues, and he has inspired a generation of eye health professionals around the globe.

Women-Led Green Vision Centres in Asia & Africa

The number of Diabetic Eye Diseases and associated blindness and death is increasing every year because patients don’t know they have the disease. Even when they do, those impacted lack access to quality eye care to fight it.
